What is NEET
NEET is a national-level entrance exam, which is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission to undergraduate engineering courses in colleges. This exam is mandatory for those candidates who have applied for engineering admissions. The Central Board of Secondary Education conducts this examination as per the norms mentioned in the “NEET” Notification.
How to prepare for NEET
The first step to preparing for NEET is to identify what subjects are being tested. Once this has been determined, one must begin preparing for the exam by studying the subject.
There are many different ways to prepare for NEET, but all of them include diligent studying and practice.
The important thing is not to neglect any single part of the preparation process. It is also important to keep in mind that the test may be different from what was studied in school. So, it is necessary to practice as many questions as possible.
One of the best ways to prepare for NEET is by taking online mock tests. There are many websites that offer these tests for free. The tests not only help in preparing for the exam but also give an idea about the type of questions asked in the exam and the level of difficulty.
It is also a good idea to take up coaching classes. These classes not only help in understanding the concepts better but also provide mock tests and tips from experienced professionals. However, it is important to choose a coaching institute carefully since not all of them are good.
Lastly, one must take up practice tests from good books. Since the level of questions in NEET is much higher than what is taught in school, it is important to make sure that one has practiced a variety of question types before taking the actual exam. So, purchasing a few good books with comprehensive study material can be helpful.

Advantages and disadvantages of neet exam
There are a lot of unemployed people in India and there is a chance to get government jobs for them. The NEET exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from 2019 onwards. It is being done because CBSE has been criticized, especially after the question paper leak in 2016. This exam would have replaced JEE Main and JEE Advanced that was previously conducted by CBSE. In order to stand a better chance of getting into one of these coveted seats, it is important to know about the advantages and disadvantages of the neet exam.
Pros neet exam
- •It was well known that the CBSE was not a neutral body when it came to conducting exams. NEET would be conducted by an independent agency and this would ensure fairness in the examination process.
- •The NEET exam is not region-specific. This means that students from any part of the country can appear for it without any disadvantage.
- •The NEET syllabus is more comprehensive and covers all the topics that are relevant to medical entrances. This would give students an edge over those who have prepared for other entrance exams.
Cons neet exam
- •The NTA is not completely ready for this task. The agency has done well in the exams, but it will take some time to get the best out of it. It should also take care not to rely too much on technology while conducting the exam.
- •People who are preparing for AIIMS and other medical entrances like CPMT would have no problem with NEET because they are almost similar. However, those who are preparing JEE or AIPMT may find it difficult to adapt due to the drastic change in their syllabus And pattern. This results in people giving up their preparation altogether after Class 12th
So, these are some of the advantages and disadvantages of the NEET exam. Students must carefully weigh the pros and cons before making a decision about appearing for this examination.
